Our Philosophy —
Never Underestimate
a Child's Sophistication
At Foxley Atelier we believe in teaching children to create meaningful masterpieces with professional grade tools and materials. Each blossoming artist works on their own unique piece over the course of several weeks, in their chosen medium, at their own unique pace. Instruction is individualized, and as the Instructor moves about the room she gently guides, encourages, and teaches technique. Working case by case, and challenge by challenge, we allow students time to experiment, while giving them direction in order to enhance their technique, strengthen their individual capability, and find their own unique creative voice.
CLASSES
CREATIVE EXPLORATION
This class is for our youngest artists ages 5-8, introducing them to a variety of mediums, and getting them creating! This class is free from critique and focuses on exposure and practice with materials, helping them build a solid foundation of love for art and belief in self.
STUDIO STUDY
Working in a variety of fine art materials youth work on their own unique projects with guidance and critique from the instructor. This is the original class from the Atelier's first conception. Students should come prepared to study, practice, and explore.
CLAY AND POTTERY
ADULTS AND TEENS
Connect with ages past through this ancient art. Learn how to create unique structures that are both functional and beautiful, focusing on integrating art into your everyday. We have a fully functioning clay workshop including glazes, and kiln.
At Foxley Atelier we believe that there's no better example for young artists than seeing Adults continuing to make time for their passions or learning new things. I encourage parents to join classes with their kids or pop into one of our adult only classes. We also offer a teens only class for artists ages 13-18.
